Otra cara de la luna es el sol -
Other face of the moon is the sun
[Collaboration]

• Collaboration with Julia Carrillo, a two person exhibition at Jardines de Mexico Gallery, 2019
• Other Face of the Moon Is the Sun is a collaborative process of working with light as a medium loaded with meanings. The artists created a philosophical narrative of light and shadow offering a space of deeper thinking and reflection. Through an explorative process of working closely together, Rostami and Carrillo experimented with shaping light in ways that it changed the perception of the space of the gallery and its unique location inside a labyrinth garden. The exhibition consisted of two-dimensional, sculptural, installation and performance-based work that were specific to the site of Jardines de Mexico. Through large-scale installation and space interventions, the artists activated both the inside and outside of the gallery using reflective materials and light. Each experience alluded to an element of nature or outer space such as void, omnipresence and abyss.
